WATCH - Rodgers speaks as the pressure mounts
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers saw his grip on power at Anfield loosen after his side's shocking 6-1 defeat at Stoke on the final day of the Premier League season - and the reaction to the humiliation has been predictably savage.
Jurgen Klopp and Rafael Benitez have been installed as the favourites to replace Rodgers at Anfield, with social media forums overwhelmed with calls for the Irishman to be sacked by Liverpool chiefs.
Rodgers offered to resign if the owners wanted to be leave after a game that saw his side go 5-0 down at half-time, the shell-shocked Irishman clearly stunned by the day's events.
Klopp's imminent departure from Borussia Dortmund does not help Rodgers' hopes of hanging on to his job, while some Liverpool fans want ex-boss Benitez to return.
The next few days may reveal whether Rodgers has a future at Liverpool, with the angry reaction from Liverpool fans doing little to help his cause.
One Liverpool fans expressed his despair in a remarkable call to talkSPORT radio in the UK with his emotions evident in this call:

This was just some of the reaction to the Liverpool slump that saw them finish behind Spurs in sixth place in the Premier League:
Embarrassing day for all connected with Lfc 6-1 is not acceptable. Not seen anything but my son left at half time so it must've been bad!!— Jamie Carragher (@Carra23) May 24, 2015
