WATCH - Leicester boss storms out of bizarre press conference
Leicester manager Nigel Pearson stormed out of his post match press conference following his side's 3-1 defeat against Chelsea after a bizarre exchange with a confused reporter.
The Foxes chief took exception to being asked what criticism of his players had upset him over the season and he lost his rag as he fended off what seemed like an innocuous question from a journalist.
It was not the first time Pearson had been involved in a spat with a journalist this season, calling one a p***k after Leicester's 0-0 draw with Hull in March.
Pearson hinted he felt his players had been given unfair criticism this season, despite only climbing out of the relegation zone for the first time since November at the weekend.
He was asked what in particular had upset the manager only to be met with angry an angry response:
Pearson's strange performance produced plenty of negative reaction on social media, with few having much sympathy for the Leicester boss, starting with the journalist caught in the line of his verbal fire:
I worked with Nigel Pearson once and got the same bully boy routine he offered up tonight. Just looks like a fool - https://t.co/TvBefSdqCx— Kevin Palmer (@kpsundayworld) April 29, 2015
If getting called an ostrich by Nigel Pearson is not a career highlight i don't know what is.— Ian Baker (@ianbakersport) April 29, 2015
Anyone know when Nigel Pearson's next press conference is? I quite fancy going down and asking him some questions.— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) April 29, 2015
