The 'Will Grigg's on fire' chant has become an overnight sensation in the football world, and now the Wigan Athletic fan who began the craze has been excellently rewarded by the club.

If you haven't heard it yet, breathe in the quality that is 'Will Grigg's on fire':

The viral chant has taken the football world, at the very least, by storm.

Grigg scored 25 goals, while producing five assists, as Wigan sealed promotion to the Championship by virtue of winning League One.

The Latics' striker finished as League One's top scorer, and was named in the PFA League One Team of the Year.

Sean Kennedy, the Wigan supporter credited with creating the chant, has been richly rewarded by the club's positively buzzing chairman:
