Paul Scholes has questioned Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal time and again this season and now he has raised fresh questions marks over the under-fire Dutchman.

Van Gaal has hit out at Scholes for his persistent snipes at his football philosophy during his two seasons at United, yet that has not stopped the 11-time Premier League title winner offering up more criticism for the Old Trafford chief.

Amid reports that Van Gaal ordered his players to attend one-on-one meetings to discuss last week's Europa League defeat against FC Midtjylland in Denmark, BT Sport pundit Scholes suggested this was the kind of treatment he might expect for junior players and not senior professionals.

Scholes went on to offer a less than convincing prediction for United's second leg clash against FC Midtjylland, as they looked to try and overhaul a 2-1 first leg deficit.

United's injury curse struck again before their match against FC Midtjylland, as Anthony Martial was injured in the warm-up and was replaced by youngster Marcus Rashford.
