A group of lucky Irish soccer fans were given a wonderful surprise last Tuesday, as they were whisked off to watch Arsenal v Barcelona at Emirates Stadium in the company of Champions League legend Patrick Kluivert.

Kluivert's goal against in the 1995 Champions League final handed Louis van Gaal's Ajax a famous victory and established the Dutch striker on the world stage in an instant, so the chance to meet one of the game's greats was not be missed as Pepsi and Doritos ran a competition to coincide with the Arsenal v Barca game.

The former Barcelona striker was supposed to be traveling to Dublin for an event that would involve the recording of a Second Captains podcast, yet this tale was always destined to have a twist.

In fact, those involved were delighted to be surprised as planes had been charted to fly all involved to London for an audience with Kluivert, before being handed tickets to watch Arsenal's Champions League clash with Barcelona.
