Video - Guardiola gets transfer advice from a 7-year-old
Little Manchester City fan Braydon Bent could not believe his luck when he jumped in the back of a taxi and found himself sitting next to the club’s new manager, Pep Guardiola.
In an event organised by the club’s PR team, City boss Guardiola confirmed he was game for a laugh as he chatted away to excited little Braydon, who even offered up some ambitious transfer tips.
“You made some great signings this season,” declared the excited City fan, who was then told by Guardiola to wait for more big name arrivals.
It was at that moment that Braydon suggested Guardiola should sign his old Barcelona charge Lionel Messi.
“I know Messi is your friend. You might give him a call and see if he wants to join us and have a fun time,” said Braydon.
“Messi, that would be nice,” was Guardiola’s response. “But that may be a little difficult.”
If this is the kind of interaction City fans can expect from their new celebrity manager, they are in for a great season under Guardiola's watch:
