Rio Ferdinand proved he was up to the task of recreating a couple of classic Manchester United goals, as he emulated the brilliance of David Beckham and Paul Scholes with nonchalant ease.

BT Sport pundit Ferdinand did not get a chance to show his free-kick skills around the box during his decorated career with United, yet his attempt to “Bend It Like Beckham” proved to be a big success as he mastered the art with his second effort.

After being shown a sensational Beckham free-kick against Southampton, Ferdinand was up to the task of hitting the target, as this clip confirms:

He then attempted to stage a remake of the famous Scholes strike against Bradford back in 2000, with the technique required to pull off the effort no easy task for a former centre-back who has not played too much football of late.

Yet Ferdinand was again making his mark, as he confirmed with this sparkling finish:
