Video - Coutinho tries to recreate a classic Premier League goal
Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho has attempted to recreate one of the great goals in Premier League history and he very nearly came up short in his task.
Dennis Bergkamp’s brilliant goal against Newcastle back in 2002 was instantly etched into football folklore as a classic strike, with the Arsenal forward pirouetting past a defender before applying a classy finish.
Coutinho was just nine-years-old when Bergkamp served up his masterful strike and he was up to the challenge of recreating the goal for the BT Sport cameras.
Liverpool’s James Milner then had a go at trying to recreate Gianfranco Zola’s brilliant flicked goal for Chelsea against Norwich 14 years ago and he didn’t take long to master the art:
