Victor Valdes 'wants to leave Man Utd'
Turkish club Antalyaspor have claimed that they are close to signing Manchester United goal keeper Victor Valdes.
Valdes was being tipped by many observers to step into the void likely to be left when David De Gea seals his much-discussed move to Real Madrid, but the Spanish stopper may well have his sights set on a move away from Old Trafford.
"He wants to leave Manchester United," Antalyaspor club president Gultekin Gencer told Eurosport.
"We have made an official bid. I believe it will be completed within a couple of days. Valdes wants to join Antalyaspor. All that remains is for us to agree the fee being demanded."
Former Barcelona and Spain keeper Valdes signed an 18-month deal with United in January and he made two Premier League appearances for the club, with his possible exit adding to confusion over De Gea's future.
United boss Louis van Gaal praised De Gea's professionalism on Friday, as he returned to training with the club last week without complaint following a delay in his proposed move back to his homeland.
The suspicion is that a deal will eventually be thrashed out for De Gea, with Sunday World sources suggesting the £25m payment United are due to make to Real Madrid at the end of July could be written off as part of an agreement for the transfer of the keeper.
The payment in question relates to the terms of Angel Di Maria's £59.7m move from Real Madrid to United last summer.
