Valdes inflames his spat with boss Louis van Gaal

Manchester United back-up keeper Victor Valdes has hit back in his war of words with manager Louis van Gaal by posting a provocative tweet responding to accusations that he does not want to play in under-21 matches.

Van Gaal claims he is selling the Spanish keeper after he refused to play in a second team game for United last season, but three-time Champions League winning keeper Valdes has insisted he is committed to the club.

Even though he has been omitted from the United squad on a pre-season tour in America, Valdes is reminding Van Gaal that he is still on his club's books with messages that will not amuse his boss.

This is his latest post, which highlights the under-21 games he played last season and suggests he has respect for his youthful colleagues:

Yesterday, Valdes posted another twitter message suggesting he was training hard ahead of a new season with Manchester United.

There can be only one winning in this battle between Van Gaal and Valdes and it will not be the club's second choice keeper.
