United reported to have made big-money offer for world-class striker

Reports out of Italy suggest that Manchester United and PSG have both made big-money offers for Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain.

According to CalcioMercatoWeb, Napoli club icon Jose Alberti has confirmed that the two super clubs have lodged bids for the much coveted Argentinian forward.

"As a Napoli fan I hope Higuain remains because the Blues could win the championship with him," Alberti said. "PSG and Manchester United have a lot of money and with the offers made by these teams we should make him a statue if it decides to stay in Naples."

Higuain has been a sensation since he left Real Madrid for Naples.

He has scored 89 goals in all competitions in just three years at the club and with his peak years about to begin, it is no wonder he is arguably the most wanted striker in Europe.

United are clearly on the hunt for a big-name striker while rivals PSG will need to replace the goals that Zlatan Ibrahimovic used to score, now that he is on his way out of Paris.

However, earlier this week it was suggested that Higuain would prefer to hook up with Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool if he did leave Italy.

We have a feeling this one is set to run and run.
