Manchester United could have a battle on their hands to sign Argentina striker Gonzalo Higuain as new Chelsea boss Antonio Conte believes he can bring the player to Stamford Bridge, according to a report.

The Daily Mirror claims incoming Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is confident of beating United to the signing of Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain, paving the way for Diego Costa to exit for the Chinese Super League.

The report suggests that Chelsea may have to shell out £45million to secure Higuain's services ahead of Louis van Gaal's outfit.

Jose Mourinho will cost the Old Trafford club a minimum of a £10million annual salary if he is to become their new boss, according to the Daily Star.

The Metro suggests that the Red Devils will attempt to hijack any Arsenal move for Real Madrid's attacking midfielder Isco.

The Mirror also reports that Arsene Wenger wants to bring Inter Milan forward Mauro Icardi to the club, following news yesterday that Olivier Giroud could be set to leave the Emirates.

Liverpool face competition from Bundesliga giants Borussia Monchengladbach in the hunt for Paris St Germain starlet Mamadou Doucoure, according to German publication Kicker.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reporter Nicolo Schira posted on social media that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has offered Udinese £12million for midfielder Piotr Zielinski, currently on loan at Empoli.
