Jack Wilshere and Jordan Henderson are the surprise names being linked with a move to Manchester City in today's transfer gossip columns.

While Henderson has insisted he is happy at Liverpool, the man tipped to take over as Reds captain when Steven Gerrard leaves this summer has only one-year left on his current Anfield contract.

That has sparked speculation of a summer move, with City believed to be tracking the 24-year-old according to the Daily Mail.

Arsenal star Wilshere is the other player being tipped to make a move to City, as he looks to bounce back from his latest ankle injury.

French international Paul Pogba is being linked with a move to Manchester City in The Mirror, with Samir Nasri suggested as a possible makeweight in a deal to bring the former Manchester United midfielder back to England.

The Daily Star suggest Manchester United are willing to pay £60m to sign Edinson Cavani from Paris Saint-Germain, with the Uruguayan's agent fuelling transfer specualtion over his client with these comments yesterday.

Atletico Madrid centre-back Miranda has said he is "happy" and "proud" to be linked with a move to both Manchester clubs, but he told the Spanish media that he is happy with his current employers.

Meanwhile, Liverpool may look to sign Barcelona star Pedro if Raheem Sterling pushes for a move away from Anfield ahead of next season report the Daily Mail.
