Supporters of the Red Devils were less than pleased with a social media post from the Europa League's official Twitter account.

Rightly or wrongly, Manchester United fans still consider the club a European heavyweight.

The reality of this season, however, is that the Red Devils are back in the Europa League after finishing fifth in the 2015/16 Premier League table under Louis van Gaal.
