Spurs and Man United both chasing Serie A ace
Tottenham have joined Manchester United in the hunt for Palermo midfielder Franco Vazquez.
That is according to the Sun following reports out of Italy.
They say that the Serie A club are resigned to the talented midfielder leaving, despite him being contracted until the summer of 2019.
Club president Maurizio Zamparini told an Italian radio station that there is interest in the player and that they will sell him to a club 'abroad'.
Vazquez was born in Argentina but he is an Italian international after taking Italian citizenship.
He didn't make Antinio Conte's squad despite an excellent campaign for the Sicilian club in which he notched eight goals from midfield.
Louis van Gaal was said to be interested in his signature last season but it is rumoured that the lure of Champions League football may see Spurs edge out United in the race for his signature.
