'Nowhere near any good' - Sky pundit reckons Jordan Henderson is better than Paul Pogba

Paul Merson would have Jordan Henderson ahead of Paul Pogba in a Premier League lineup.

Ahead of the 'Red Monday' clash between Liverpool and Manchester United at Anfield, Merson was asked to pick his hypothetical team.

The former Arsenal star plumped for the Liverpool captain ahead of the world-record signing.

"Today, Jordan Henderson," the Sky Sports pundit stated after being asked which midfielder he would pick on Soccer Saturday's Super 6 Facebook Live.

Henderson celebrates his sumptuous strike against Chelsea which won September Goal of the Month

"Over the next 10 years, I don't know - it probably should be Pogba considering how much money they [Manchester United] spent.

"Henderson has been as good as anybody in the Premier League.

"Credit where credit is due, he's been outstanding.

"Pogba has been struggling. For all that money, he hasn't performed yet.

"He's been nowhere near any good.

"If United lose [against Liverpool], then he'll come in for some big criticism."

Jose Mourinho's side travel to Anfield to take on Jurgen Klopp's team at 8pm on Monday.
