Sky lining up big name celebrities to host 'Friday Night Football'
Sky are already making plans for the next season's 'Friday Night Football' and it seems the progamme will be more celebrity driven than their normal football coverage.
According to the Daily Mail, Sky plan to make the coverage 'spectacular' and to do that they may look at drafting in some big name celebrities to present the games.
James Cordon, Holly Willoughby and Vernon Kay are the names mentioned in the report as they plan to make the new Friday evening football a bit different.
From next season Sky will broadcast 12 Premier League games on Friday night and the cost of the rights to those games alone for three years was €500,000,000.
With that in mind, Sky are determined to maximise the audience, with the report suggesting Sky may even host the shows from an outdoor venue.
As for pundits, Frank Lampard's name is mentioned and the former Chelsea star currently works with Wiloughby on an ITV panel show called 'Play To The Whistle'.
Wonder if they will tryand sign up Johnny Giles?
