Sean St Ledger has ended his long wait to find himself a new club by signing for MLS side Orlando City - and he promptly invited the Sunday World to Flordia to see him in his new home.

The 30-year-old centre-half had been on trial with the new MLS franchise, playing in pre-season friendlies, and has now agreed a permanent deal.

Orlando are coached by former Everton player Adrian Heath and have a handful of players acquired from the English leagues in their squad.

St Ledger joins the likes of Seb Hines, Luke Boden, Lewis Neal, Martin Paterson and Harrison Heath at the club, whose star name is Brazilian Kaka.

"We're delighted to have Sean on our roster, as he brings a lot of experience at the club and international level," said Adrian Heath.

"He's a very versatile defender who is comfortable playing in several positions along the backline, which is a big bonus for the squad."

And it seems like you may be reading a feature on St Ledger in the Sunday World newspaper shortly after this invite:
