Schweinsteiger won't comment on Man Utd links
Bayern Munich star Bastian Schweinsteiger has declined to comment on reports that he is weighing up a move to Manchester United this summer.
World Cup winner Schweinsteiger formed a strong working relationship with Louis van Gaal during their time together at Bayern Munich, with the pair now being linked with a reunion at Old Trafford.
Bayern boss Pep Guardiola has confirmed that Schweinsteiger has a decision to make over his future this summer, with the 30-year-old considering bringing down the curtain on his career-long stay at his one and only club.
When asked whether he would consider making a move to United, Schweinsteiger responded: "I am under contract until 2016."
As he was then was pushed on his links with a move to Old Trafford he added: "I'm glad that you asked. I won't comment on it."
Ilkay Gundogan, Morgan Schneiderlin and Nigel de Jong are also believed to be on a list of potential summer signings Van Gaal has presented to the United hierarchy in the holding midfield position.
It is not out of the question that the club may look to sign two of those players, with Michael Carrick's injury problems leaving a big hole in Van Gaal's side at times this season.
