Report - Premier League club eye up Daniel Sturridge for loan deal
Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge may be on his way out of Anfield on a loan deal.
Today's Daily Express reports that Southampton are keen to take the England striker on loan in January.
And, if his spell at St Mary's proves a success, then the Saints would be prepared to pay £25m to make the move permanent in the summer.
The injury-prone forward has struggled to cement a place in Jurgen Klopp's plans this season, with Roberto Firmino getting the nod in Liverpool's fluid front line.
The report goes on to say that other clubs monitoring the 27-year-old include West Ham, Stoke and AC Milan.
Liverpool bought Sturridge from Chelsea for £12m in January 2013 but he has only appeared 78 times in the league for the Reds in almost four years.
Because of his injury record, it is suggested that clubs will want to take Sturridge on loan before committing to a permanent deal.
