Report - Liverpool put three players on the market

It is being reported in the UK media that Liverpool are set to sell before they can buy, and they have identified three squad members that are available to other clubs.

The London Times is reporting that defenders Mamadou Sakho and Alberto Moreno, plus winger Lazar Markovic are all up for sale.

Markovic has been linked with Watford, whose manager Marco Silva had him on loan last season at Hull.

Sakho fell out of favour with manager Jurgen Klopp and spent a successful spell on loan at Crystal Palace last season.

Moreno was also a bit player for the Reds last season, featuring in only 12 Premier League games for the club.

The paper reports that Liverpool hope to net over £60m for the trio, with a price tag of £30m on Sakho, £20m on Markovic and £12m on Moreno.

The club hope that that money can be reinvested in a number of players, with reports in the Guardian suggesting that they had a £25m bid for Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski rejected.

The Pole is reported to have a release clause of £61m in his contract so it would take selling all three of the above named players at their asking price for Liverpool to raise those funds via deals.
