There are many juicy football rumours doing the rounds today, but if Manchester City can land the two players one paper has linked them to, it will be sensational.

Today's Mirror claims that Pep Guardiola has yet to land a really big name, so he has two absolute superstars in his sights.

They claim that the former Barca man wants to bring Luis Suarez AND Toni Kroos to the Etihad this summer.

The German midfielder is top of the new manager's list, despite the fact he sold him after one season at Bayern Munich.

Kroos has four years left on his deal at Real Madrid but with a release clause in the region of £63m, City may be willing to splash the cash and activate it.

Even more sensational is the proposed move for former Liverpool striker Suarez.

The Uruguayan is one of Barcelona's most valuable assets and the paper estimates a fee of around £85m would be required to prise him away from the Camp Nou.

Earlier this year Suarez said in an interview that if he returned to the Premier League it would only be to play for his old club but today's Mirror claims he is open to a move to City, if he can persuade his family to move back to England.

They say that Guardiola has been trying to persuade the 29-year old to make the move for months and if he pulls it off it will surely be the transfer coup of the summer.
