Report claims Mourinho and LVG will work TOGETHER at United
What would be an incredible twist in the ongoing saga that is the Manchester United manager's job is being reported in the English press.
Tomorrow's Sun is claiming that Jose Mourinho and Louis van Gaal will work together at Old Trafford next season.
The report says that the Dutchman will be offered a Director of Football role, allowing him to move upstairs and work one more year, seeing out his three-year deal with the club.
Then the Special One would be able to slip into the manager's hot seat.
Speaking last year, Mourinho spoke of Van Gaal as a 'big, big friend' and the two men worked together before at Barcelona.
The outcome predicted by the Sun would allow Ed Woodward to not only keep Van Gaal on the staff, but also get a new face in the dugout and hopefully get Manchester United's turbulent recent record back on track.
Van Gaal has been adamant he is not going to walk away and while Mourinho is reportedly being chased by half the clubs in Europe, it is widely believed the Old Trafford job is the one he wants.
