Report - Barcelona eye up Liverpool ace for big money transfer
Reports in the UK today suggest that Liverpool face a bid from Barcelona for one of their most impressive performers
According to the Sun, the La Liga giants are preparing to make £20m bid for full back Nathaniel Clyne in January.
The England international has been one of the Reds most reliable players since his arrival at Anfield from Southampton in the summer of 2015 for £12.5m.
The paper says that the Catalan club are still looking for a full-time replacement for Dani Alves and they have identified the pacy Clyne as their 'preferred option'.
However, Clyne is signed up with the Reds until 2020 so it seems that it would take a far larger cash sum to prise him from Jurgen Klopp's side.
The paper adds that Stoke's Glen Johnson is also being looked at by Barcelona to solve their right-back dilemma.
