Arsenal are being linked with a January move for a player that has been rumoured to make the switch to the Gunners for years now.

Today's Sun reports that Arsene Wenger may look to take Julian Draxler from Wolfsburg in the January window as speculation grows that the player wants to leave the Bundesliga club.

The German international has reportedly been a target for the London giants for years now but Draxler eventually stayed with Wolfsburg this summer despite saying he wished to leave shortly after the European Championships.

Now it is being suggested that the club may be ready to cash in on the midfielder, who has yet to muster a goal or assist so far this season.

The paper also notes that while Arsenal may be one of the suitors, Juventus will also be interested if the player becomes available and they may be the favourites as they consider Draxler as the long-term replacement for Paul Pogba.

The German club's sporting director, Klaus Allofs, has claimed that Draxler won't go anywhere in January but with the club sitting just above the relegation zone in the Bundesliga, the situation will surely come to a head if that poor form continues.
