Romelu Lukaku scored the winning goal as Everton game from 2-0 down to beat West Bromwich Albion - and ensure that bookies William Hill were forced pay out nearly £46k on an accumulator bet.

The bookmaker has confirmed that that bet was won on Monday night, with Everton's 3-2 triumph at The Hawthorns ensuring this bet secured a sensational windfall.

Everton are also toasting their win as Lukaku's two goals and another from Arouna Kone gave them a big win.

It was also an important night for Republic of Ireland international Darron Gibson, who made his first team return after a long spell in the treatment room that was followed by his conviction for drink driving earlier this month.
