PSV Eindhoven Technical Director Marcel Brands has confirmed that his club wants to sign Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj in loan, in a deal that could see Memphis Depay move to Old Trafford.

Brands confirmed earlier this week that Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain were ahead of United in the chase for Dutch international Depay, but he also confirmed that the Old Trafford club had registered an interest in signing the 21-year-old winger.

United boss Louis van Gaal is a big admirer of Depay, who starred for his Holland side at last summer's World Cup finals, with sources understanding the PSV Eindhoven star is keen to move to Old Trafford.

There have been suggestions that a possible move for Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale may have diluted United's interest in Depay, but communications channels are clearly flowing between United and PSV after Brands confirmed his interest in Januzaj.

"If such a player like Adnan Januzaj would like to come and play Champions League football, you have a chance of making a temporary move," stated Brands.

Januzaj looks set to be sent out on loan by United next season after he struggled to impress boss Van Gaal this season and it seems there will be no shortage of takers for the 20-year-old's services.
