Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed that three first team players have been told they are no longer in his plans.

Speaking in Australia as Spurs continue their pre-season tour, the Argentinian manager said that Nabil Bentaleb, Federico Fazio and Alex Pritchard have been told by him that they can leave the club.

The Mail carried the quotes confirming the news, which came out when the manager was quizzed about players not brought Down Under for the tour.

After first saying that one player who didn't make the trip,  Clinton N’Jie, was out through injury, Pochettino said: ‘The situation of other three players - Bentaleb, Fazio and Pritchard - is very clear. They are not in my plans and they know. I have communicated with them and it was made very clear. It's not a problem.

'They know the situation and we'll see what happens.’

Bentaleb was used sparingly by Pochettino last season, chiefly in the FA Cup and Europa League and last played for the club in February.

Fazio only played once for the Londoners last term before being loaned out to Seville while Pritchard made three league appearances for Tottenham last season, all as a sub.
