Guardiola tipped to leave Bayern Munich this summer

Former Bayern Munich manager Otmar Hitzfeld believes Pep Guardiola has decided to leave Bayern Munich and take over as Manchester City boss next season.

Manchester United and their local rivals City have been strongly linked with a more to lure two-time Champions League winning coach Guardiola to England next summer, but Hitzfeld suggests the decision may have already been made.

The coach who won the Champions League with Bayern in 2001 has claimed Guardiola may have already made up his mind on his next career move and these comments may not amuse Man Utd fans.

"I suspect that Pep leaves Bayern because Manchester City continue turning up the money supply," Hitzfeld told Bild.

"There is no reason to wait in December with a decision, because now no titles are awarded. "

The leaks from United insiders insisting the club has no interest in hiring Guardiola has been viewed by many as evidence that he has already agreed a move elsewhere, with the presence of some of his former Barcelona allies working at City making the move seem likely.

Guardiola has yet to agree to a contract extension with Bayern Munich, with his current deal set to expire next summer.
