Paul Pogba has already sealed move to Man Utd....apparently
Paul Pogba has already completed his record breaking return to Manchester United, according to internet search engine giants Google.
United have been in talks with Juventus over a €120m deal for the French international midfielder for the last few days, with an announcement confirming the move tipped to arrive at some point in the next few days.
Yet Google appear to have jumped the gun, as they have updated Pogba’s profile on their homepage to suggest he is already a United player once again (below), four years after he left Old Trafford after a contract dispute with the club:
Google's player profiles are linked to Wikipedia and it seems an excited Man Utd fan may have edited Pogba's page to pre-empt his move to United, but this was another jovial entry in the speculation over the most talked about transfer of the summer.
The latest reports suggest Pogba’s deal is in the process of being finalised, with agent Mino Raiola still negotiating his fee and United striving to strike a deal that will allow they to acquire the 23-year-old’s image rights.
The second of those issues are pivotal to any deal, with United convinced they can make the Pogba deal profitable if they can use the Frenchman’s huge popularity by having influence over his social media channels that attract 12 million followers.
Italian champions Juventus finally seem to have concluded they will sell Pogba in the coming days, with reports in Spain suggesting Real Madrid have made a late move to sign the midfielder persisting.
What appears clear is that the days and weeks of speculation over Pogba’s future will be resolved in the coming days, with the end of this transfer saga now in sight.
