Mourinho's advisers open talks with Paris Saint-Germain - reports
Jose Mourinho's advisers have opened talks with Paris Saint-Germain, according to reports that suggest once again that he does not have a deal in place to take over at Manchester United.
Mourinho has persistently suggested he has no interest in working in an 'uncompetitive' league, as he plots a return back into the game, yet his options appear to be narrowing if he is not in position to take over at United.
United boss Louis van Gaal is widely expected to be replaced as the club's manager after he failed to secure a top four finish and qualification for next season's Champions League.
Yet the reports that Mourinho is holding talks with PSG suggests he is considering other options as he looks towards next season.
Mourinho missed out on the chance to replace Alex Ferguson at United back in 2013, as senior figures at Old Trafford moved to block a move for the two-time Champions League winner who went to Chelsea instead.
A move to PSG would not appear to be ideal for Mourinho and the French club have made it clear that they intend to stick with current boss Laurent Blanc after his storming Ligue 1 title success.
It may be that this leak of news is another plot from the Mourinho camp to hasten discussions with United, who play the FA Cup final against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
