Messi, Costa and Mignolet feature in the latest Transfer Daily
More transfer rumours are filling the sport pages of today's newspapers and here is our pick of the best stories.
MESSI TO THE PREMIER LEAGUE?
Barcelona maestro Lionel Messi has been linked with a move to the Premier League for many a long year, yet there seems to be some momentum behind the latest rumours suggesting he is one his way to England.
Manchester City and Chelsea are the obvious two clubs chasing the Argentine genius, with several newspapers suggesting Barcelona face a fight to hang on to their prized asset.
The lucrative new TV contract for Premier League clubs next season is fuelling ambitions to signs the world's top players and Messi's name is at the top of every list.
COSTA LINKED WITH RETURN TO SPAIN
Diego Costa's time at Chelsea may be edging towards a conclusion, amid reports that his former club Atletico Madrid are lining up a £28m bid to bring the striker back to the Spanish capital.
His fall-out with Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho came to the fore last weekend as he threw a bib in the direction of the Blues manager after he was dropped to the bench for the game against Tottenham, with suggestions now that he may even be off-loaded in the January transfer window.
Costa is tipped to return to the Chelsea team this weekend, but he needs to start firing the goals in again soon or his days as Mourinho's lead marksman may be over.
MIGNOLET IN CONTRACT TALKS
Reports last week suggested Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was lining up a bid to sign a new goalkeeper, but those tales appear to be wide of the mark after it was confirmed the Anfield club are in talks with keeper SImon Mognolet over a new contract.
Klopp was quick to dismiss suggestions that he wanted to replace his Belgian keeper in his press conference on Monday and Mignolet looks set to secure a pay rise when he signs his new deal.
Mignolet may have his critics, but Klopp clearly likes what he sees in his first choice stopper.
MAN UTD LINKED WITH BORUSSIA DORTMUND STAR
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs in recent years and Manchester United are the latest rumoured to be linking up a bid for the Gabon forward.
United certainly seem to need additional fire power in their forward line with Wayne Rooney and Anthony Martial short of goals in recent weeks, with the hit-man who is famed for wearing Batman masks as part of his celebrations when he scores a viable option,
