McGrath urges United to sign Coleman
Manchester United great Paul McGrath has urged his former club to sign Republic of Ireland full-back Seamus Coleman.
United have been linked with a move for the Everton defender throughout 2015 and fresh reports on Sunday suggested the Old Trafford club were about to make a bid for the 26-year-old.
Now Sunday World columnist McGrath has joined the chorus of experts backing Coleman's move to United, as he offered these comments to talkSPORT.
"I definitely think he would be a good fit for Manchester United," stated McGrath.
“He has got every attribute a right-back wants. He works so hard, he is a good defender, and he has got an engine like no other.
“I think he would be great for Manchester United and I really hope that is one of the deals that goes through."
The Sunday World revealed back in January that United were weighing up a bid for Coleman (below), with our reports at the start of the year suggesting United boss Louis van Gaal would have better chance of signing the Irishman in this summer's transfer window.
