Manchester United chasing 38-goal La Liga striking pair
United are chasing the signatures of both Antoine Griezmann and Kevin Gameiro, according to a report.
Two French strikers plying their trade in La Liga are on Manchester United's radar.
The Old Trafford outfit are interested in the services of both forwards, according to an ESPN FC source close the Premier League club.
Griezmann, who unlike Gameiro makes up part of France's Euro 2016 squad, netted 22 times in 38 La Liga appearances to finish sixth in the league's scoring charts.
The Atletico Madrid attacker, whose versatility across the front line is something which Jose Mourinho is said to value, also assisted five times over the course of the league season.
A Champions League campaign, which saw Atletico cruelly defeated on penalties by city rivals Real Madrid in a final where the striker hit the bar with a second-half spot kick, saw Griezmann score seven times as well as setting up one goal.
Sevilla's Gameiro, who was unable to force his way into France manager Didier Deschamps' plans for the Euros, is also thought to be on United’s radar.
The striker tallied 16 strikes and four assists across 31 La Liga appearances, while he was part of the side which defeated fierce United rivals Liverpool in the Europa League final.
Gameiro celebrates his equalising Europa League final strike
One of Gameiro's eight Europa League strikes was the equalising goal against the Reds in the final's 46th minute, which fuelled a fiery comeback from Unai Emery's team as they won the contest by three goals to one.
