Everton's Romelu Lukaku is wanted by Manchester United and Bayern Munich, according to the Belgian striker's father.

Lukaku has fired 18 Premier League goals this season as he has led the Everton forward line in impressive fashion, sparking inevitable rumours of a big money move this summer.

Now Roger Lukaku has fuelled the firestorm of rumours around his son with these comments:

"He's ready. I see that there is interest from Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Chelsea and Manchester United," he said.

"I think he must choose Manchester United or Bayern Munich. Manchester United is a team under construction with no real focus.

"Bayern Munich is a machine where he can rotate well. The only condition is if Robert Lewandowski leaves."

The links with United are intriguing, as it is hard to imagine Lukaku moving to Old Trafford if Jose Mourinho is to replaces Louis van Gaal as manager this summer.

Lukaku and Mourinho clashed during their time together at Chelsea, with the favourite to succeed Van Gaal at United questioning the commitment of the striker he sold for £28m in the summer of 2013.

What is evident from these comments is that United are among the clubs weighing up a bid for Lukaku and they are likely to face high profile competition for his signature in a move that could be worth in excess of £50m.
