Manchester United have identified the Everton duo of Romelu Lukaku and John Stones as their chief transfer targets this summer - even if the identity of the club's manager for next season has yet to be finalised.

Ken Lawrence has the back page exclusive on United's transfer push, with United already planning their transfer moves even though they are yet to finalise who will be in charge of the team at the start of next season.

Belgian striker Lukaku has strongly hinted that he will look to leave Everton this summer, even though the Goodison Park club have made it clear they will not consider selling their star asset as they look to build for the future.

That stance will not deter United, with Old Trafford insiders claiming they will do all they can to test Everton's resolve with a mega-money bid, that could see Lukaku become the most expensive striker in English football history.

The Sunday World back page honours are shared by Rule the World's glorious success for owner Michael O'Leary in the Grand National at Aintree, while our bumper sports pull-out sees Liverpool and Ireland goal scoring great John Aldridge name his top five strikers for this season...and there is not a hint of Liverpool player in his selection.
