Manchester United’s new No.29 has taken centre-stage in the incredibly life-like video to promote the new EA Sport FIFA 2017 game.

Emerging from the tunnel behind United striker Anthony Martial, the fictional character named Alex Hunter finishes as the star of a video that also features Real Madrid star James Rodriguez and Chelsea’s Eden Hazard, who appears as a touchline TV reporter.

Hunter ends the promo scoring a stunning goal, confirming his rise to star status in an instant:

This video follows up an initial tease, with the game makers revealing the background of a player who gamers will be able to drop into their chosen team when the game is released:

Hunter boasts a striking resemblance to United starlet Marcus Rashford, although the game’s makers insist they have not based their new character on the striker who has taken the game by storm over the course of 2016.
