Man Utd planning £143.9m bid for Barcelona superstar
Manchester United's response to crashing out of the Champions League at the group stages will be a ££143.9m move to bring Brazilian superstar Neymar to Old Trafford in January.
Okay, we have heard this lavish rumour time and again in 2015 and each time it has surfaced, Barcelona insiders have been quick to dispel the notion that they are willing to sell one third of their dream strike force.
Barca's stance does not seem to be diluting fantasy from United officials that Neymar could be wearing a Manchester United shirt at some point in 2016.
The Telegraph are among those reporting that United are planning another bid to sign Neymar, after their initial approaches to Barcelona for the player were rebuffed last summer.
While it would be one of the shocks of the New Year to see Neymar leaving Barcelona and moving to Manchester, United's desire to sign a marquee player they can build their team around is even more pressing after their Champions League demise on Tuesday night.
Manager Louis van Gaal has stated that he is keen to add some proven match winners to his squad as he looks to take United to the next level, but many of the club's supporters are now suggesting a change of manager is required before the club can move forward.
