Man Utd linked with two more strikers
Manchester United are being linked with just about every striker in Europe right now, with the latest reports suggesting the Old Trafford club have held talks with the agent of Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema.
The Manchester Evening News claim United's vice-chairman Ed Woodward met Benzema's agent at the The Savoy hotel in London on Wednesday, amid stories in Spain that a £40m deal could be on the table.
Benzema's uncertain future at Real Madrid has been the subject of ongoing speculation in recent months, with the club's new manager Rafael Benitez yet to comment on any players he may look to bring to the club or release in the coming weeks.
The links between United and Benzema have sparked suggestions that the deal to bring United keeper David De Gea to the Bernabeu could see the French striker make a move to Old Trafford.
Meanwhile, French publication Le10Sport are reporting that Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette has told his agent to try and set up a move to United this summer.
Liverpool and Arsenal have been linked with the striker who was the league scorer in the French league with 27 goals this season, but United may also be in the race to land his signature.
Meanwhile, widespread reports in the UK newspapers suggest Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling also fancies a move to United. It is hard to believe that deal will come off, but anything is possible in what is certain to be be an unpredictable transfer window.
We have only had a few days of June and already the transfer rumours and counter rumours are running wild - we will all get used to this in the next few weeks.
