Manchester United fans react as Ousmane Dembele leaves Marcos Rojo on his backside

Manchester United were soundly beaten on their first outing in China as Borussia Dortmund put four past Jose Mourinho's men.

Dortmund racked up a comfortable win against Man United in China today, as the Red Devils succumbed to a 4-1 defeat.

Goals from Gonzalo Castro, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (penalty) and Ousmane Dembele put Die Borussen three ahead with less than 60 minutes played.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan, signed from the Bundesliga side earlier this month, replied just before the hour mark but it was only a consolation for the Red Devils as Castro added his second, and Dortmund's fourth, four minutes from time.

It was Dembele's goal which caused particular anger among United fans around the globe.

Marcos Rojo, playing at centre-half in the second period after replacing Phil Jones, was the man who caused the fury.

The defender, generally deployed as a full-back during his United career, had already been the source of ire for fans after reports emerged this week that the club had rejected a bid for the player.

That ire turned to real anger after Dortmund's young striker put the Argentinean on his arse before scoring an excellent goal:

Fans and pundits alike were quick to lambast the hapless Rojo:

Will Mourinho listen to the fans or will Rojo still be in the squad come September?
