Man Utd await decision from target Arda Turan
Manchester United target Arda Turan will make a decision on his future in the next few days after it was confirmed he intends to leave Atletico Madrid this summer.
Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City have also been linked with a move for the Turkish midfielder in recent days, with United's interest coming as a surprise to many observers.
United boss Louis van Gaal appears to need to prioritise bolstering his striking options this summer, but reports in Spain continue to suggest the Old Trafford club are one of the leading contenders to sign Turan.
Turan took to twitter last week to insist reports that he had agreed to sign for Barcelona were false:
The transfer rumors are not entirely correct. My agent is currently in touch with 3-4 clubs. I will update you all if a deal is made.— Arda Turan (@ArdaTuran10line) June 28, 2015
Now the latest rumours suggest a deal with United could be announced shortly, with his agent Ahmed Bulut confirming a move is imminent.
"Arda has won everything at Atletico Madrid in four years," said Bulut.
"We're in search of better options for him and decided to definitely leave Atletico Madrid.
"The Atletico Madrid board were surprised by our decision because they didn't want to give him up but we were insistent and they showed respect to this and accepted his departure.
"There is a lot of speculation about him but none of the rumours are completely true.
"We want to reveal his new team as soon as possible because there is so much pressure on us. Arda's new team will be clear within four days."
