Manchester United face a fierce battle to try and land Brazilian rising star Gabriel Barbosa.

The 19-year-old, known as Gabigol, was a member of Brazil's Olympic gold medal winning side but with the Games now wrapped up, where he plays next has become the big story.

The Santos youngster was said to have agreed to joining Manchester United earlier this summer but now his future seems far more unclear, with a host of Europe's biggest clubs chasing his signature.

The Express say that Chelsea and Leicester City want the player while Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid are also in the hunt.

The player himself has said he wants to move to Barcelona to play with compatriot and Olympic team-mate Neymar but so far there is no sign of the Catalan giants offering him a deal.

However, as the race for the player known as the next Neymar heats up, the number of clubs chasing him will surely only increase, making life even more difficult for Manchester United.
