Luke Shaw set to play for Man Utd again this season
Luke Shaw is ready to step up his recovery from a double leg break and looks set to play again for Manchester United before the end of this season.
Shaw suffered a horrific injury in United's Champions League game against PSV Eindhoven last September and there were fears that the 20-year-old full-back may have to wait until next season to resume his career.
Yet there is increasing confidence among United's medical staff that Shaw could be available to play in the final games of United's campaign, with a return to training in the coming weeks to be followed by a comeback in an under-21 game.
There is a possibility that Shaw could take part in an end of season testimonial match and while a push to earn a place in England's Euro 2016 line-up seems out of the question, progress is being made in his recovery.
United boss Louis van Gaal gave the biggest hint when he named Shaw in his squad for the Europa League campaign and suggested he could be available if his side make it to the final of the competition in May.
They will need to get through an eagerly anticipated tie against Liverpool at the last-16 game of the competition before that prospect could become a reality.
