Chelsea striker Diego Costa is subject of more transfer interest from Chinese club Tianjin Quanjian, amid rumours that a deal to take the Spain striker to the Far East may be close.

Sky Sports are among those reporting that Tianjin Quanjian are hopeful of concluding a deal to sign Costa, who appeared to be keen to seal a move to China during last January's transfer window.

Talks between Costa and his advisers ensured he remained in place at Chelsea until the end of the season, but it appears that the 28-year-old could now be close to agreeing a move to China's Super League.

Tianjin Quanjian owner Shu Yuhui has confirmed that his club are still in talks with Chelsea over a deal for Costa, amid suggestions that the deal struck to keep the striker at Chelsea at the start of 2017 included an agreement that he could leave at the end of this season.

Costa and Chelsea have yet to comment on the latest rumours, but it now appears clear that the player and his suitors in China are keen to push forward with a deal that could see the forward earn €650,000-a-week.

The departure of Costa would fuel rumours of a return to Chelsea for Everton striker Romelu Lukaku, who has made it clear that he will not sign a new contract with the Goodison Park club.
