Look who is leading the race in the Premier League sack race
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has been installed as the new favourite to be the first Premier League manager to face the axe this season.
Last Saturday's 3-1 Premier League defeat at Old Trafford saw a host of ex-Liverpool stars turn on Rodgers, with Sunday World columnist John Aldridge suggesting a fear factor is affecting the Liverpool boss this season.
The social media criticism has been flowing for Rodgers since Saturday's defeat and now the bookies have updated on their odds on the next manager to face the sack, with Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho also seeing his odds sliced after a horrible start to the season:
Brendan Rodgers (Liverpool) 6/4
Dick Advocaat (Sunderland) 11/4
Jose Mourinho (Chelsea) 6/1
Tony Pulis (West Bromwich Albion) 18/1
Tim Sherwood (Aston Villa) 18/1
Slaven Bilic (West Ham) 20/1
Meanwhile, some devious Liverpool fans have started a fund raising page to try and pay-off the remainder of Rodgers contract as they campaign for his Anfield exit.
With a €10m target set by the jovial webpage, they have a long way to go as this latest running total confirms.
