Liverpool open talks with midfielder to tie him to long-term deal
Liverpool are reported to have opened talks with Emre Can about keeping the German at Anfield in the long-term.
The Guardian are reporting that Liverpool want to tie down the German after an impressive season.
The 22-year-old is halfway through a four-year deal and the paper reports that the new deal will also improve his terms as he becomes a central part of Jurgen Klopp's midfield.
The player is in France with German Euro 2016 squad and Liverpool are anxious to get the deal done before the new season starts.
Can, who cost Liverpool £10m when he signed from Bayer Leverkusen in 2014, played 49 games for the Reds in all competitions last season.
