Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp admitted Bournemouth’s late equaliser in the 2-2 draw at Anfield nearly made him vomit, as his side dropped two vital points in their push for a top four finish in the Premier League.

A deflated Klopp admitted he was desperately disappointed to concede another set-piece goal, with his side against struggling to finish off a Bournemouth side that inflicted a 4-3 defeat on Liverpool back in December.

After Liverpool edged into a second half lead with a Divock Origi goal, Klopp looked on in despair as his side allowed Joshua King to fire a vital late leveller for Bournemouth that may be crucial on their battle to beat the drop.

“The second goal off a set-piece, that made me nearly vomit,” said Klopp. “We have to work on it. Immediately I thought ‘what the beep.’

"Then a second ball after a set-piece and that made me nearly vomit, actually. That’s, of course, not nice, but we have to take it. I

"It’s my responsibility, all of this. I have to be clearer in these situations, obviously, but I will find a solution for this.

“It should feel disappointing. But tomorrow, we have to remember it’s one point gained and maybe take this as positive.

“The start was not the best. We were a little late in the mind, not really concentrated and there were three, four situations before their goal we were not on. Simon’s dribbling, Ragnar’s pass. You could feel a nervousness in the stadium.”

Meanwhile, Klopp admitted he does not expect his leading scorer Sadio Mane to play again this season, even though there is no official confirmation of the extent of the injured sustained in Saturday’s Merseyside derby against Everton.

“I cannot say more than I said yesterday, but it doesn’t look good and that’s how it is,” added Klopp.

“It doesn’t look at the moment like he could play one more game this season, but if somebody wants to surprise me with positive [news] then I am open for this. We will see.

“There is no final judgement. We have to wait for more assessments and then we will know more.”
