'It's not very positive' - Uncertain Klopp fails to reassure Liverpool fans over Mane injury
Jurgen Klopp says the situation with Sadio Mane's injury is "not 100% clear".
The Reds boss is speaking to the press this afternoon ahead of Liverpool's fixture against Bournemouth on Wednesday.
Mane was the hottest topic of discussion after the forward was forced off with a knee injury 56 minutes into Saturday's Merseyside derby.
"It's not 100% clear," Klopp told reporters of the winger's situation.
"We have to wait a little bit. I can say for sure he won't be available for tomorrow.
"It's not very positive. But we cannot say what it is exactly."
The German manager went on to concede that Mane's season could be finished.
"The knee is swollen. We wait for final assessment.
"It's possible (that Mane's season is over) but why should I say that now?
"Unfortunately, that's possible. When a knee is swollen, it's not often I hear afterwards that it's nothing."
Both Adam Lallana and Jordan Henderson remain sidelined but Daniel Sturridge could make the squad for the game against the Cherries.
"They're not available but Daniel is in team training and it's good to have him back.
"We won't make any decisions now. Probably he can be in the squad."
Klopp's outfit take on Eddie Howe's team at Anfield in an 8pm kick-off tomorrow night.
