The kick-off time for the second-leg Europa League clash between Manchester United and Liverpool has been moved back to 8.05pm.

The massive tie between the two rivals was first scheduled to start at 6pm at Old Trafford on St Patrick's Day.

However, the Guardian report that an appeal from Trafford council on safety grounds has seen the kick-off time pushed back by just over two hours.

The change, which was requested by the local authority’s safety advisory group due to fears over getting security, stewarding and medical personnel in place on time, was backed by the club.

Louis van Gaal's side travel to Liverpool to take on Jurgen Klopp's outfit at Anfield on March 10, just one week before the second leg of the last-16 Europa League tie.
