John Terry shrugs off Chelsea snub...with a £1.5m Ferarri
Chelsea skipper John Terry was not too happy when he was substituted at half-time in Sunday's Premier League game at Manchester City - but he seems to be consoling himself with his latest toy.
With Terry's critics quick to suggest his humbling experience at the Etihad Stadium was beginning of the end of his reign as Chelsea skipper, the multi-millionaire footballer reminded us all that a bad day at his office is very different to those of us who have slightly more normal jobs.
Terry spent his down time on Monday posting an image of the car that has just set him back a reported £1.5, with this classic Ferrari one of the most sought after vehicles on the planet.
It remains to be seen how Blues boss Jose Mourinho will view the timing of Terry's eagerness to display his wealth to the world, but when you have spent that much on a car, why not show it off.
Of course, Terry is not the first mega rich sports superstar to remind us all how rich he is, with boxing great Floyd Mayweather making a career out of posting images of his cars and plans on social media.
Golfer Ian Poulter has also been spending some of his spare cash on cars recently as well:
Oh, and then there was former Sky Sports presenter Richard Keys, who couldn't help himself after he bought a new Jaguar. Like any of us care what car he drives right!
I've only gone and done it again. Can't resist a Jaguar. Thanks to everybody at Guy Salmon as ever. pic.twitter.com/M4MktjlERq— Richard Keys (@richardajkeys) July 14, 2015
